You may wish that you had hair for a bold fringe, or you might bemoan the fact that the cost of extensions can wipe out that stimulus check with one visit to the salon, or perhaps you simply can't risk having outrageous hair thanks to conservative corporate or school dress codes.

Another good tip is to check out the Asian beauty stores for wefted hair. African-american women, specifically those in the salon industry, freqent these shops for human/synthetic hair supplies. After reading this article, watching a few videos on YouTube, and a small bit of driving to beauty supply shops to collect supplies, I was able to find all the materials to match my blonde-dyed-blood-red hair to purchased wefted burgundy strands. The people who work in these shops are very helpful. If you can't find your exact shade, try purchasing light blonde human hair wefts and dyeing them to the color your own hair is (YouTube this). I was able to cut my own wefts, sew 1-inch wig clips to the wefts, and created my own extensions--all for about $50. I'm quite pleased with the results--thanks GB!! If you have questions about what I did, e-mail at aerithgainsbourough_at_yahoo_dot_com.

I have to say thanks to GB. I'm part of the colorgarud team and despite the name we dont get to have outrageous colored hair. I'm also short on cash due to a lack of work. So I'm really happy to see a solution to my lack of funds and non permanant color fun delemia. THANKS GB!
