But its not goth.. the cyber stuff and all that just moves it to mainstream and removes the romantacism and darkness of it. thus it becomes the norm and status quoe.

Reminds me fondly of the '80s style of rock/glam rock clothing with an added twist. Not for everyone, but it is a change from the stereotypical looks we're all guilty of using one too many times.
