Envy Is Blind's Evolve is what I would call a 'dry' release. Typically, synth/EBM releases such as this are drowning in over-orchestration and reverb. This particular album does away with all that and what we are left with is crisp, sharp beats backed by voice samples and very impressive vocal work. This album has brilliant production and appears to try and expand on the concept of questioning the nature of the mind's interpretation of reality (which has been thoroughly explored elsewhere, many times over). What this release may be missing in depth it certainly makes up for in flexibility and unpredictability in the music itself.
