Leatherwolf’s World Asylum features a new line-up: long-time members Dean Roberts and Geoff Gayer have added Wade Black (Crimson Glory/Seven Witches), Eric Halpern (Helstar/Destiny’s End) and Pete Perez (Riot). This Los Angeles area based band is well known for their dual, sometimes triple, guitar onslaught and this album certainly doesn’t disappoint about that! “World Asylum” was aptly named – it’s a look into psychosis or dementia. “King of the Ward” is absolutely maniacal. “Behind the Gun” is a desperate plea for answers. “The Grail” is chaotic, twisted with plenty of nice vocal harmonies. “Dr. Wicked” is a medicated delirium.
